Last weekend, we we’re lucky enough to be invited along to film behind the scenes at Chiddy Bang’s UK Tour. We had planned to blog all weekend and put out videos of our experiences but things got really hectic and we didn’t have time to put the main cameras down.
The weekend itself was insane, and we’re only just starting to recover from the intense edit we hit straight afterwards. It also marked the first outing for Robbie’s new wide angle lens, his Tokina 11-16mm (I’m sure he’ll talk about this in another blog post). And my GoPro HD Hero 2.
My advice to anyone getting a Go Pro and not strapping it to their head is buy the detachable LCD monitor. I couldn’t get one in time and it was truly frustrating. We had no way of knowing if the shot was good or not until we plugged it in, though the super wide field of view sort of made sure everything we wanted would be somewhere in shot. We’re really happy with the way the footage turned out and we’ll be releasing a mini-series of videos one for each location, we’ve put a small trailer together that is just about to be released. We’ll keep you all posted!
